About Rosemary Parkinson, Author - Nyam Jamaica

Rosemary Parkinson was born in Venezuela of Trinidadian parents, the late Gordon Parkinson - a revered artist - and Dickie Parkinson. Parkinson writes for Jamaican Eats, Health, Home & Gardens and contributes to several other Caribbean magazines. Today, she is working on Nyam Barbados with Nyam Trinidad and Nyam Tobago to follow. In her spare time, Rosemary enjoys painting and is passionate about agri-tourism with organic being the main word in her quest for "green".

Nyam Jamaica is a 424 page culinary tour of the entire island of Jamaica. The book provides rich insight into the Jamaican culinary tradition and is enhanced with exquisite photographic documentation of the many wonderful people and good eats author Rosemary Parkinson has enjoyed as well as the many places visited, parish by parish, during her many years on the island of Jamaica. On occasion, hitching a ride on her bumpy but delicious travels are her Jamaican friends - celebrated chef Norma Shirley and internationally renowned photographer Cookie Kinkead.
