When’s the last time you had a REALLY GOOD Screw……Driver?
Well if you’re like me, its been a while…until last night!
Totally spontaneous, unexpected, and brought back to life
what a really GREAT Screwdriver should be like.
It all began while I was squeezing my fruit at the bar, and
rediscovered the pleasures of having it fresh squeezed,
rather than having some one else doing it for you.
Of course I am speaking of fresh squeezed Orange Juice, as
opposed to that commercial “boxjuice” crap that can sit on
a shelf for up to 6 months without going sour. (what the
hell do they put in that stuff??).
Many of us were introduced to the “screwdriver” as our
first alcoholic drink ever, and continued to drink it
‘cause it was not too harsh, sounded sexy to order, and the
ingredients were easy to come by, not necessarily that it
made any MAJOR impression on your palate.
Well, after painstakingly “FRESH” squeezing a GAZILLION
oranges last evening, I decided to revisit an old drink
staple at the bar-The boring a ss “screwdriver”.
After putting out all that elbow grease, I was not going to
adulterate this concoction with any “Bottom-Feeding”
moonshine vodka…I went for the gold and pulled on the
best…you got it..the GOOSE got loose!
THIS THING EXPLODED IN MY MOUTH LIKE AN M-80 on
Independence Day!
This blend with the fresh squeezed juice is probably why
the screwdriver was invented in the first place.
Smooth, Refreshing, Unassuming, Knock You On Your A ss type
of love potion. The freshly squeezed orange juice is a
perfect match for the smooth cleanness of the Grey Goose
Vodka. So much so, that decided I experimented further by
adding other ingredients such as cranberry and Cointreau
liqueur.
BIG mistake!
The original mix will take you to the MOOOOON, pure and
simple.
This ain’t your Daddy’s Screwdriver, This is the “Ripe
Special Ask And You Will Get A GoodScrewdriver” coming at
you for as long as the fresh squeezed juice lasts…
Everything else a squeeze up tonight EXCEPT orange, so come
get some a what done squeeze up aready B4 it done!
Get your screw on tonight, under the “Reggae Tent”….the
tent will be BLAZING!
