Ripe's RumFest Wednesday

We’re calling all alcademics for our informal Extreme Rum Drinking/Mojito Making Invitational on Wednesday October 22nd, 2008.
Class begins at 7:30pm SHARP.
All latecomers will have to bribe the teacher for entry with an Apple(ton)
You will have an opportunity to taste some new mixing rums from Jamaica, imported by our own Wine and Rum Connoisseur, Brian Nembhardt.
We will be using these rums to make the Cuban original and Ripe’s signature drink, “The Mojito”, in order to give a full and detailed account to the importer about their mixing potential with Ripe’s highly acclaimed Mojito.
Our Professional report will determine its direction in marketing here in the United States.
You can pre-order a “Mojito Starter Kit” for this part of the event, to interactively learn how to “make-your-own” Mojito from scratch.
Don’t be afraid to try it, we will be right by your side to help you “muddle through it all”
This kit includes everything you will need to show-off your skills at your next soiree, and you get to take the entire hardware set home with you after the class.

16oz Mixing Glass
Sugar Cane Stick
Jamaican Rum
Seltzer
Mint
Limes
Next comes the test to see if you are a true Cocktalian, by your guessing this most unlikely place where our “secret” rum is made. It will be unveiled and available for tasting once the origin is revealed.
You will then experience a delicious, not-well-known Rhum from Haiti, that wins competitions the world over, yet won’t burn a hole in your pocket at the cash register.
The most bang you can get for your Rumbucks in a Bottle!!!!
So, if you are a real connoisseur, er Rum Head, now’s the time to show your true colors. Bring your wildest “Rum Story” and join your fellow Rum Pundits for an evening of drinking and imbibing, and just good ‘ol crass behavior at the “Back ‘A Wall Bar” in the back of the dining room. There will be a prize for the BEST RUM STORY, and you will probably score more points with the crowd if it actually happened at Ripe!
At the end of it all, the only way you will be kept for detention is if you’ve been too good!

RSVP only if you are able to make it by 7:30pm, to be fair to all guests and the host.
