We normally wouldn't interrupt your day just to talk about food. Okay, maybe we would, but as you know, there's a food revolution going on in this city, and we thought you needed to be aware of the latest conquest.
Yes, we know you're excited. We are too.
So it is with tremendous joy, excitement and intense mouthwatering-ness that we tell you to prepare your taste buds to saddle up and ride once more, ‘cause Ripe has done it again!!!
If you're in the mood to try something you can't find anywhere else in the Westchester, why not try our latest, hottest, has the regulars going crazy dish, The Calamari and Kiwi Mussels Run-Down.
Calamari is usually battered, then bruised in the deep fryer to create a very popular “bar food” appetizer. Thats all good, but doesn’t really give you a true sense of how good fresh calamari really tastes.
Well, we got rid of the batter, sautéed the squid in a sizzling hot pan, and paired it up with some of the sweetest mussels in the business, the plump juicy New Zealanders, also known as Kiwi Mussels. They are then quickly steeped in our traditional Jamaican Run Down Sauce made with coconut milk and veggies, and served with Yucca to soak up all that rich sauce.
This one is truly a study in deliciousness!!!
