This always happens.
A weekend comes…and goes. Come the ides of Wednesday, you need another getaway
Well, summer Wednesdays in New York can feel a lot like a South Beach Vacation.
The forever available Nightlife, the Sophisticated Women…..the Diverse Restaurants with Open Air Gardens.
Which brings us to this coming Wednesday, and the Cognac Tasting in Ripe’s Backyard Garden.
It goes a little something like this:
Wednesday July 29th, 2009 from 6pm-9pm, Ripe will be offering up a new line of utterly sensual Cognacs, labeled Celebrity Jazz, already renowned for their smoothness and sweetness.
Paul Jones, the President of JTE Spirits, www.jtespirits.com will be on hand to give a quick lesson about these beauties, including proper handling, tasting, and the right equipment to fully appreciate what they have to offer!
Your Cognac questions are encouraged and take away cards are available for all products sampled.
You will even be able to sample one of the first spirits for women; created by Women, so ladies should RSVP early for this one!!!
Too much of a good thing is...well, completely necessary these days.
So while a dozen rum options would serve you well on Friday, we're pretty sure you'd find greater satisfaction in tasting your way through a hemisphere's worth of skillfully crafted Cognac on Wednesday.
You just might find it to be your “new drink” on HumpDay, ‘cause you won’t hate yourself in the morning!
As a bonus, and incentive to get here early, David Wells, owner of NYC Cigar Company (www.nyccigarco.com) located in Eastchester, will give away a professionally Hand-Rolled Cuban Seed Cigar FREE to the first 20 people that RSVP at info@riperestaurant.com.
A true cigar aficionado, he will also give a brief talk about his line of tobacco, and proper cigar etiquette.
